Choosing the Perfect Swimwear for Your Summer Holiday
With the summer almost upon us, many people are scrambling to sort out their summer holiday. Once this has been done you will need to think about what you will need for your holiday, things like summer clothing, sun creams and of course, swimwear.
If you are searching for new swimwear or bikinis for your time in the sun, then you are probably looking for something that is flattering and stylish. These days there are so many different choices when it comes to swimwear and you can be as adventurous as you want to be. If you want to go for something a bit more revealing then you can opt for a beautiful skimpy bikini in fabulous fabrics such as cotton lycra or nylon spandex.
For those who are worried about their weight and want something that will hold them in, there are some great new designs on the market that will ensure you have the ultimate control in areas like the stomach or hips. If you don’t want a bikini and are not really too keen to have a swimsuit either, you could opt for a tankini which is a two piece swimsuit with a long top section that will cover your midriff.
The great thing about swimwear is the fact that there is so much choice. No matter what type of body you have, you should easily find something that will look perfect on you. And there are also a number of different colours to choose from so you can go for something bright and colourful or something a bit darker and more demure if you prefer.
Mainline menswear is one of the most popular and varied portals
Men’s fashion and clothing in general has undergone a paradigm shift and they now see a new light. There are so many varieties that men are, indeed, spoilt for choice.
There are many stereotypes that are associated with men and men’s clothing. The first among them is the fact that they do not like to shop. And the second is that they do not care two hoots about shopping. And yet, breaking this traditional stereotype of men is the new conception that men too, can be just as fashionable as women. Fashion is an important aspect of culture because they represent the mood of the people of a particular place living at a particular time in history. Therefore we will see that at no point in time, is fashion the same or repeated. Unless of course there are certain trends that are back in style, as they say. It has been found that online shopping for men has become an important and popular aspect of shopping and fashion for men. This means that there are hoards of online portals that could assist men in the selection of the clothing and accessories of their choice and needs.
Mainline menswear is one of the most popular and varied portals in this regard. For a long time now, they have been catering to the needs and requirements of men’s shopping. There is much that men can choose from in this portal. When one logs in, the website is pretty user friendly and they can browse through the myriad shoes, clothes and accessories and also look at the description of the product so that they get a clear idea of what they are in for and also how much they could cost. Since we are focusing on designer clothes we must keep in mind that these products will mostly be expensive. For instance, A Ralph Lauren Bolingbrook Trainers Pure White set of shoes would cost around 65 pounds. This would convert to a whole lot in Indian money. We are reminded that there could be many brands at sale in this website and so the choice is multiplied and the platter expanded.
Now what are the most popular trousers for men? The eternal and timeless jeans are the answer. They could go with mostly anything. They could go with t shirts, with shirts, with kurtas in India and so on and so forth. So what are the popular men’s designer jeans that are in vogue right now in the fashion world? There is the G Star Raw Yield Loose Jeans Dark Aged Treal is a unique piece that is a wonderful combination of the old and the new. The name itself is self explanatory. They could cost close to about 90 pounds in the UK which is again, a lot of money in India to spend on jeans. But the good thing about designer products is that they are meant to last forever. Also, whoever said black jeans are out? The G star raw yield loose jeans 3D raw crate denim is totally in and they are one of the most unique in the market. They could also cost around 90 pounds.
What are coloured contact lenses? Fashionable?
Once the fashion secret of the celebrities is out, it is only a matter of time until it heads to the masses. The latest phenomenon is that of the coloured contact lenses.
Although coloured lenses have been available for some years, they were generally used by those who required assistance with their sight with the added feature of being able to enhance the natural colour of the wearer’s eyes.
More recently, coloured contact lenses can be purchased purely for aesthetics. These are known as plano or zero-power lenses.
Coloured lenses can come as natural looking, such as those worn by Paris Hilton, Jennifer Aniston and the like or as unnatural as you want them, such as those worn by Marilyn Manson and Robert Pattinson, who aim to shock people with some kind of picture, symbol or unnatural colour.
The allure of these zero-powered coloured lenses is the accessibility, cost and ease at which a person can give themselves an almost instant beauty boost.
Many websites, novelty shops and alternative shops have a wide range of zero-powered lenses available for purchase. Prices generally range from around £7.99- £17.99, so are affordable to most.
The ability to change a look has made them increasingly popular with those who are inspired by stars such as Lady Gaga, Robert Pattinson from Twilight and Marilyn Manson.
There has been speculation into the dangers of wearing these coloured lenses as many are being sold illegally or used incorrectly. The increasing use of the lenses amongst teenagers has led to the spread of infection. When used incorrectly, the lenses can create problems such as corneal ulcers but can also lead to much more serious problems including blindness.
If you are going to try zero-powered lenses, be sure they are coming from a reliable source and that you follow the instructions carefully.
Fashion – It scares the bejesus out of me
When I decide that I will treat myself to something new to wear (which is not that often), I suddenly realise that I have to go shopping. A strange sense of foreboding creeps over me as I realise I have to wade through ‘new trends’ and ‘current fashion’ to find what I would actually like to wear and what will actually fit me.
The horror of changing rooms with bad lighting, and snotty sales staff trying to push store cards on to me, I’d rather just go home and attempt to sew myself something new. Alas, I have no dressmaking skills and although the allure of internet shopping is very tempting, you have to face your fears.
I cannot tell you the amount of times I have picked up something that is ‘apparently’ my dress size to find I can barely get an arm in, or that it fits me everywhere but the bust. The frustration is immense as you realise you have spent ten minutes wrestling into a top that, once on, you realise it makes you look like an Amish person.
If you are anything like me then you need to hit the shops with an open mind as to what you want, and a cheery optimism that you’ll be able find something. Whether you’re looking for new work wear, some holiday clothes or going out dresses, make sure you put the effort in and make a day of it. Remember, every bad changing room experience takes you closer to the perfect outfit. Well, that’s what I like to tell myself.
On the positive side, though, there is nothing like the feeling of squeezing into something you picked up on a whim and finding it actually looks good. When you have a big night out you normally have to try on a great deal of party dresses to find the one that actually accentuates everything you like about your body, and hides the bits you’re not so hot on, but when you do it erases all bad shopping memories, for a little while.

Celebrities make up influences
Today we live in a world where celebrities have a very big influence on society. If a star is photographed wearing a particular outfit, clothing stores are on it like wildfire, designing and producing a more affordable version of their attire. The same can be said for celebrity endorsements of things like diet and exercise plans, as well as make-up and cosmetics. Their faces give us the familiarity with the brand and we end up buying them.
It’s no surprise that the most beautiful celebrities end up promoting different make-up brands. The everyday woman sees how stunning the actress or singer is and thinks, “if I buy that product, that’s what I’ll look like.” Lipstick adverts… get lips like Angelina Jolie!
The mascara industry has got into a lot of trouble recently over it’s TV adverts. Their ads suggested that their mascara created really thick and long lashes, when actually the truth is their models were wearing false eyelashes. Nice one, did you really think us viewers were fooled?
One celebrity who didn’t need fancy mascara of false eyelashes was Elizabeth Taylor. It was a surprise to learn that Elizabeth Taylor’s eyelashes were not normal in the sense that she just had the one set. Men swooned over her beautiful violet eyes and her lashes that just had so much volume. There was no need to fake a TV ad… in fact it wasn’t even because she was layering up on the false lashes. Elizabeth Taylor was lucky enough to have a genetic mutation (not quite like X-men!) that not only gave her double eyelashes, but she also never ended up with some of the nasty side effects that come with this mutation. Us mere mortals can only get this by gluing on double lashes like the ones from the Girls With Attitude false eyelashes range.
We all dream of releasing our inner celebrity and one of the easiest ways for women to do this is through buying celebrity endorsed products. Even if we don’t transform into that actress or singer or whoever she is, in our heads we look that little bit better. Celebrities probably don’t even realise how much of an influence they have on us.
